my eb has that ford paint the clear flakey look at the moment my bonnet and boot have no clear and the tops of the guards are starting what can i do? i dont really want to repaint can i rub back the clear and redo it

To me sounds like a repaint job,cant see anyone in being able to rub back the clear without going through the base coat,i gather its a metallic by the sounds of things?.

yeah metallic blue the paint that ford in all their wisdom made it so the shine is in the clear

Use Turtle wax cut n polish $13 from supercheap. An electric buffer and go sick on it. It will shine like the stars for a couple of months until you need to hit it again.

there in no way you can polish bascoat...
if you care about it that much the best way is to just respray the gaurds bonnet and boot..
if you polish bascaut it may become shiny but if yoiu keep doing it every few months eventully your going to burn the base coat and then you wont have any clear or colour
