Slick. Mate hundreds of different fatal situations can be made up for any modification done to a vehicle. That's why they don't like it.
The wheel has to be off the ground for the spring to come out. That'd be a big bump to hit! And they are installed correctly and have the right spring and new munro gt shocks. |

I have Kings SL's in my EB Ghia, and short stroke pedders white comfort gas shocks in there, no issues with springs falling out.
However, I have seen it plenty of times with lowered springs & stock stroke shocks. Please, anyone fitting lowered springs, do everyone a favor & fit shorter stroke shocks! It's a safety issue.... Cheers ToranaGuy

Troy so you have pedders red springs too.
Why do mine come out and yours don't then. Do you check it after its been on a hoist.? Come to think of it when I was still running 15s it didn't happen. Could it be the extra weight of the18s fulling the assembly down more. |

Disagree, if it's done properly then you won't have a problem with any insurance assessment, if you were ever in an accident. especially the ones where it's hard to establish who is at fault. they'll probe deeper and at the end, insurance co don't like paying up if your mods don't comply or in most cases mods that were never disclosed to the underwriter during or within the insured period. they just love to void accident claims. better to be safe then sorry.

They are keen voiders. Guess you'd have to be in that buiseness tho.
Still. Using your first scenario. You've been in a accodent and insurance can't find who's at failt. When they go for a better look and see you have a broken shortened shock and a lower spring. They are still gonna say this car was too low. Or lowered impropperly. It is better to be safe then sorry tho. |
