what you've got wrong is an impco converter with a mixer ring.
obviously a back yard job, how about you get a licensed fitter to install a proper setup |

Well it's your disaster, not ours - just make sure you don't put anyone else at risk too.
LPG + ignorance = epic fail.

The problem is you obviously don't know what you're doing and you have created a potentially dangerous situation.
If you got something as basic as this wrong what els have you stuffed up. These things don't make a small bang, you are putting other people at risk. |

So - one shot at helpfulness before I get like the others.
Impco converters are "simple", and run with a "Complex" Carp (Impco 200, 225, 425 etc). Take note here. Almost all others are "Complex" converters, with a "Simple" mixer (the ring) and youve put a Simple mixer, with a simple converter. It cant and wont work... safely. So what everyone has said already is right. Neither device in your scenario can competently look after the LPG Flow. For gods sake, if your building a rock crawler at least know what your doing before you do it. A mistake like yours with LPG can go very very very bad. At the least, its very expensive to repair an engine that has had a backfire under the rocker covers. Theres enough people out there who know what theyre doing that get it wrong half the time. Your response here (its not important so stop telling me im a knob) is getting reactions that are very similar to "Im a P Plater, and I have fullly sicccccck super low springs and a cig locker and I know whats the best way" Sit back. You gave the information. You got a response. You could have asked for an explanation but youve come back and taken the people who do know what theyre doing on. At this point, its up to you. But let me say - If you ever, ever asked me to get into your truck right now (Thats right, your driving) I would decline on the basis of my safety. Nigel |
