For you to get any reasonable boost out of a m90 you would have to spin it very hard and with high revs come high discharge temperatures and no timing advance.
By the time you get a manifold machined and it all set up you are looking at big money. A kenne bell kit for a 5.0 is only $5000 approximately and will produce enough power to make a stock block a 2 piece block.

i believe it'd work. if you ran a fairly small pulley. yeh they may be on a 3.8L V6 commodore motor but the pulley is massive. they are underdriven to the s**t house.
the other plus side is it is different. everyone these days turbo's the injected 5L's or puts those add on Vortech side mount chargers. this looks old school and cool

Frank, stop drinking so much beer. It's affecting your shpelling.
But seriously, back on topic, an M90 will work on a 5.0 it just has limited potential and if you're building custom parts to make it fit you may aswell make these parts for a better blower. My advice is; If you just want to use it because it's there? don't...it's not worth the expense or trouble. |
