I got another AU motor today to replace my busted one and it doesnt have anything where the synchroniser / cam angle sensor or oil pump drive would go so I need to put the one from my old engine into it.
My workshop manual doesnt say anything about it and Ive found 2 threads on here which say its either just an oil pump drive or a cam angle sensor / synchronizer. I thought the cam angle sensor was in the timing cover but Ive been wrong before. post1069372.html?hilit=Synchronizer#p1069372 post1130189.html?hilit=cam%20angle%20sensor#p1130189 What is it and how do I know its in properly when putting it into the new motor? Can I just pry it out of the old motor or will it break? I couldnt easily pull it out. Thanks, Dan |

Its just an oil pump drive, cam sensor is on the timing cover.
Just have to turn the motor over a bit to pull it out.
