Hi guys
thats right im having more problems with my ba.Last week i had an issue with my doors locking and then unlocking themselves. I took ppls advise and d/c each plus to see with actuator was at fault and the right hand rear was no good so therefor replaced that with my mates actuator and that was well. Suprisingly the faulty one that came out of my car worked in his too?? God if I know why!!! Well anyway, today i had another door actuator issue. This time I d/c all plugs to the actutor to see which door was at fault and this time it turned out to be the drivers door so same procedure again. Swapped actuators with my mates but this time his one didnt work when fitted in mine. So what we did was took my drivers side actuator and fitted it in his car and it worked?? This really got us puzzled so we tried one last time and took my actuator out of my mates car and fiited in my car but issue was still there..... We are absolutely puzzled and are starting to think it could be an electrical issue? Any help would be great. thanks.. btw i had checked the door lock fuse and in cabin and that was ok? |

picked the car up and it ended up being a faulty bem so we thought. It worked well for a few hours and then soon after it started playing up again. Im at the stage where im starting to find it funny but meh, ill just call the auto elec first thing in the morning and let him know that his fix was short lived..
I noticed there was some water leaking on the front passenger side. Dont know it that has something do with telling the bem to unlock perhaps?? |

i had exactly the same problem, my mate works at ford so i took it into them they hooked up the computer and it was the passenger door, water had leaked into some electrical terminal causing it to short, cleaned it up and she's all sweet |

Why is water getting to the connections in the first place? Would be a apint o have to clean the terminals every time it happens. Can there be some kind of seal put over the connections to stop any water corroding on the terminals? |
