hey guys my mrs has a '05 Fiesta, 1.6 dohc duratec engine, only done 80k, its had a miss lately, so went to change spark plugs today and found inside of spark plugs hole glowing orange and rusty as, has anyone come across or heard of this????

yep. at some point someone has degreased the engine bay and water/moisture has gotten past the sealing point at the top of the plug lead where it goes into the rocker cover. Common as A**holes
on used cars but i have seen it happen during service or as a new car too. Could even be the cause of the missfire. |

Yeah man you bang on the money, went to the local ford dealer and they said the same, changed the plugs and wham miss gone. Cheers for ya help man.
