Seriously considering fitting a shaker to my 2003 BA XR6T,

Are there any members with a shaker fitted to their vehicle? (I saw two XR's with shakers installed while cruising around Hoppers Crossing just last week). Any images of the shaker fully plumbed-in would be greatly appreciated.

My set-up aims to install this item:

Although the example above is plumbed to the lower right hand side opening of the stock airbox, I plan to install the ducting directly to the motor via this kit:

Any feedback on improvements gained/lost etc with regards to having functional shakers installed would be awesome. I keep hearing different opinions such as the shaker ram-air effect is only benneficial after 80 miles per hour, the under bonnet heat counters the potential benefits and the carbon fibre filter body of this kit has heat shielding properties.

Need those real-time experiences!

a shaker on a modern-day falcon will be more of a cosmetic thing then a performance increasing mod.
ive seen a typhoon with a xr8 bonnet and a shaker fitted, it looked alright but the shaker almost seemed like it needed to be bigger. it looked dawfed by the typhoon.

U won't gain anything, only do it for the look. Your better off putting your cash towards an under battery intake and a decent cooler upgrade. By the time you buy those 2 kits, get the bonnet modified, it's going to get very costly for something which will only be cosmetic.
