Hi there,

I know a guy who has the same flares on a red longreach. His dad bought it new and they were apparently available on run-out models. HIs family runs a few hot falcons, including an EB GT, so I think they're telling the truth!

I asked him about them recently because I wanted to get a set for my XD sedan (they fit perfect) and he said everywhere he stops people ask him about them. He said they are impossible to take of without destroying them.

I suppose just enjoy them and don't buggerise around trying to get them off to sell to anyone!

Cheers.

They were easy to get off. They only had about 5 clips and the mudflap screws holding them on. I ttok them off and cleaned all the mud and crud out from behind them then put them back on. But I didn't use the clips supplied; I used self tapping screws.

My XH has factory cruise; ABS; airbags and ergonmic seats. It is a 97 1 tonner and as far as I know it isn't anything special from Ford.
I have fitted a trip computer and Outback mags.
Cheers

You think an XH is a bitsa - try looking for XG parts!Leftover XF bits,EBII engine etc.,basically a 1960 XK Falcon platform witha few new bits bolted on!I ordered mine new in '95 with the "OutBack Pak",and it's a real bastard to find parts for.Ask for XG parts, and the acne & chin fuzz brigade at parts places can't find a thing listed.Even Ford dealers look at you funny. Most times I just ask or look for EBII parts, much easier.
