stupid question i know. but where the hell is my oil sender unit. i know where it is on my clevo, i know where it is on my pre crossflow 250 but i have no idea where it is on my ed xr6.. i stuck my head under the bonnet but just couldnt spy it...

its above the oil filter and a touch to the right. its a black cylindrical item about 7-10cm in length and about 4cm in diameter, it has one plug on the end only. you need a deep a** socket to remove it and replace. hope this helps.

Yep, that's the one, can also be removed and replaced with an open ended spanner if u are very paitent.

yeah i put in an s-pac dash so i have to change over the senders from the light sender to the gauge sender

Nearly shat myself when my gauge was jumping from 0 to full pressure.
I think my sender simply died tho.
