PLEASE PLEASE HELP IM BORROWING MY BROTHER IN LAWS EB XR8 ITS AUTO THE CAR WAS DRIVING FINE BUT 2 HOURS LATER I WENT OUT TO TRY AND START IT AND NOTHING. I TURN THE KEY ALL THE REDS COME ON BUT IT DOESN'T EVEN WANT WINED OVER. ITS GOT THERMO FANS WHEN THE CAR IS ON REDS THEY NORMALLY TURN ON THERE NOT EVEN TURNING ON ALL YOU CAN HEAR IS A CLICKING SOUND THATS ALL IVE TAKEN THE SMART LOCK FUSE OUT AND ITS ALL GOOD IVE CHANGE FUSES SO I HAVE NO IDEA NOW WHAT COULD IT BE ALL THE HELP WOULD BE GREAT THANK YOU

YOUR CAPSLOCK IS STUCK ON!
Sounds like the smartlock module. While you are cranking it, smack the area just above the handbrake lever on the dash, hard with your palm. They often suffer from dry solder joints and the jolt gets the job done. |

My old eb was the same,but had to hold the key all the way on and hit the steering wheel a few times it would go eventually it was only a every now and then problem.

Check it is in park?
If so try it in neutral. It might be a stuffed inhibitor switch.

thanks everyone i found the problem i jacked the car and the wire fell off the tab thats on the starter motor
