Why not tap into the existing TPS wiring? It's already 5v.

As Dan said.. Otherwise that kit will do what you want and is high current. Can have it off a switch/relay to turn on with accessories.

I think he's running straight gas in a Landcruiser (based on his profile).
That kit will work fine. If you're handy with a soldering iron (I guess you are based on the kit choice) you could also get a 7805 Regulator, they are only 3 pins and rock solid devices. You could put one in a small jiffy box with some connectors for about $10.
