I paid $800 for a manual conversion (incl. an ECU) from a motor wrecker. Sometimes you can get the lot for $400 or less. Just depends on how long you want to wait.

Don't forget to reinforce the pedal box before it's installed.

If it's a DIY job, it can be done on the cheap. If your mate has patience he could get a conversion cheap as mentioned by Shortshift.

The task is tedious, but it is pretty straight forward in regards to the mechanical side of things if you get the ECU with it. If you don't then the wiring part will be a bit harder if you are not electronically minded...even though it's just a bunch of resistors.

There is a guide made by voxace...have a read through that and see if you can do it yourself.

Also you can get better conversion kits from malwood...but you will be paying a larger price.

As mentioned by Shortshift...reinforcing the pedal box before installation is advised...it may crack in the long term. If no pedal box is found you can get a Malwood clutch pin kit which does a great job too. Also the firewall will need reinforcing which there is also a technical document off created by Troyman

hope that helps.
