What's that got to do with the clutch?
If it says ground at switch it means ground it at the switch. There will be a switch. Find it. And ground it there. How are we ment to know with this f all amount of info you've given us. |

Phil, we don't want fusions on the roads over here, they are woeful. I had the discomfort of driving one for a day in Chicago last year, was a brand spanker bout 120 miles on it, should have been 220,000 miles the way it drove.
My understanding is however, there should be a micro switch on the clutch pedal itself that needs grounding or eathing.

No its a hydraulic clutch setup. they have a micro switch on the clutch pedal that will either cut cruise control when depressed or provide hill start assist when clutch is used under 5mph in 1st gear. almost an anti stall. also there is a selector switch on the box itself that tells the ecu what gear has been selected.

Oh ok. Wonder how well it works.
Say if you were sitting stationary in 1st and just slowly let the clutch out no accelerator would the ecu figure out what's happening and prevent stalling or does it only work if you are accelerating and let the clutch out to fast or at the wrong time. Interesting feature. |

i was watching top hear us the other week and they had the new civic or crx on i believe that had this feature, it worked perfectly on a pretty steep hill, let out the clutch and the car just sat there without rolling back.
Dave - lol i only want them so i can somehow steal the headlights and mould it to my car, factory projector lens ftw

Its a really simple feature actually, it works in with the ABS, detects wheel speed compared to revs and knows what it should be doing, being a fly by wire motor, the ecu just adjusts the TB to suit. its not so much that it will hold you in one spot like the CRZ mentioned as that relies on the electric motor to release torque to maintain this, its more a hill start assist/anti stall. if you dump the clutch on a hill its still gonna stall out. more so when you ease off the clutch on a hill it will allow the TB to open enough that the car can creep along until the mush in the drivers seat decides to actually drive.
With the right ecu program, drive by wire coons could achive this as well. Complex way of saying makes s**t move up a hill I guess.
