hi there guys, i have a black car as you could imagine swirl marks is a real pain in the a**, can anyone recomend a good polish, so far i have to work the best is a simple spray on and whipe off wax.

meguiars gold class liquid wax is brilliant stuff. :wink:

I would have thought you need a fine cut to get rid of the swirls first then a good wax over the top to protect it and make it shiny...

Definitely agree that meguires make some excellent products. That's pretty much all I use appart from Brite Shine

I SPENT TEN YEARS FIXING THIS PROBLEM AT MITSUBISHI, YOU THINK I WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT???

OK i will tell as i wont be back on till tuesday

we use a polish by 3M called final finish, it should be available at auto paint specialists. it is grey in colour and we use it with a special egg cup shaped pad on an orbital buff. wipe down with wet cloth then final polish with a microfibre cloth. do about half a panel at a time to avoid polish drying out. do it in the shade...... ummm use a fair amount but stop when it sprays off the buff.. pain in the butt job but.......

i use meguiars next gen polish works real well love it expensive tho

I used the meguirs next gen wax/polish as well, but on my poly green EF it still left some of the swirl marks, it made them better, but didnt make them fantastic...

brought the paint up brilliantly though!! :P

3M finesse it is the one you mentioned.
The pads are 3M perfect it waffle pads (foam)
