Which bolt is it? There are 2 sets, both 16mm.
Is it the one the spanner is on or the one above? I just want to replace the pads..

The one that doesn't have the ratchet on it. You also need an open end spanner to hold the securing bolt on the inner edge to undo the caliper. You only need to undo one of the two retaining bolts.

What are the other bolts for? two are caliper bracket bolts, two are caliper retaining bolts, to hold the caliper in the bracket. I thing it is either 15 or 16mm open end you will need.

Nah, its not. Splitting a finger open cos a $2 tool broke is not DIY. DIY is doing a job satisfactorily that would have cost hundreds in a workshop, and the satisfaction that goes with it. DIY does not involve the emergency room people.
