Hey Guys,

My EL Mont has just started to make a hissing noise from the boot at the base of the brake pedal and the brakes are now way too hard to push to make the car stop. Could it be just a seal around the vacuum there somewhere or am i looking at something more serious? Any help would be so greatly appreciated.

could it just be the booster? and is that a hard job to change?

most likely a cracked booster. look about the 3 o'clock area of your booster

Start simple check the large vacuum line going to the booster and its fittings

If that's all ok then check the booster
