hey as the title suggests, i need to adjust the front camber on my car, I don't like the ratchet type ones, I was wondering is anyone had one of the upper control arm mounting brackets out of a car, and if so would you mind measuring the length and o/d of the bolt. i will be looking at gettting a longer set of bolts put in so i can run more shims. the way i see it, the car is not going any lower, I only need to set it and forget it, not a ratchet one that needs checking from time to time. will be a HEAPS cheaper option than $170 for ratched K-mac style setup. good time for new bushes too.

By the time you get the bolt size, drill out the old bolts and get the new bolts welded to the upper arm mounts you could have gone out and just bought a brand new shim type camber kit with brand new bushes included and a packet of shims? Nolathane/Superpro/Whiteline all do them.

i know it's thread mining, but regardless of if you buy new ones or mod the old ones they still have to come out. cutting a tack weld n tacking in a new bolt sounds heaps more appealing than spending more money than i have to. im going down the same line as i've been told my standard ride height xr6 needs a camber kit, so when i go in there again with 20mm more length on the threads and not purchasing a camber kit off them they can lick my nuts.
so what ever did you end up doing dc_todd?

I'm changing front suspensions in the next week or so, so if you still need this info Dave, I can measure them whilst they're out.
