hi guys.
my air condioner's fan makes some weird noises. sometimes it sounds like there is something in there(sounds like holding something in the blades of a pedastool fan), but not very loud, and other times it almost sounds like its just lagging, but in a loud way.. i dont know how to explain it. it hasnt been quite as cold since and the pressure hasnt been quite the same. i just want to know exactly what this means because sometimes there is no noise at all. eg.. i was driving yesterday and there was the noise. i hit a bump and it stopped however minutes later, slowly came back. do i need to buy a new fan for it? or regas it? needing help  thanks guys! |

its more than likely a leaf stuck in the fan...

sounds like you have leaves stuck in the fan!!better stop parking under a tree.

thanks guys lol.. was just worried too much i think. i have been parking under a tree
i thought thats what it may have been but people told me i needed a new fan so i thought i would ask more people. i guess yous are right because i havent had the sound again now for a couple of days. but i have still been parking under the tree

Ah mine does the same, it comes and goes. Is it a pain to get to the fan? I wanna clear it out but if it's a complete mongrel I'd rather not bother....

my fan ticks at me and im wondering if the fan is f**k but would be more likely a leaf it did spit a leaf at me the other day still does it though how hard is it to get to the fan ?

its a pull the heater box out of the car scenario for an e series... which means pulling the dash out and disconnecting the AC system (de-gassing)... Big job unless you know someone with the refrigeration gear and have some time and tools and space handy to pull the dash out...
My fan was on the piss and like a wheel out of balance made funny noises and lacked pressure... Last time I had my dash out I replaced with a good second hand one... Its not perfect but its certainly quieter and better pressure now... Cheer,s Tim

if you stick your hand up behind the dash, sorta behind the glovebox lid and next to the passenger side kick panel, you will be able to clear the leaves out. Just keep in mind that a large huntsman spider that I call harry always lives in there, lol.

Gab i would love spiders ive got a major roach problem anyone know how to remove the f**k without damaging everything
