Hey, sometimes it seems smartlock has a mind of it's own, lol, the car can be unlocked, and my keys sitting on my table, and the car can lock all by itself (it can even do it when the keys are INSIDE the car, which is even more annoying, means u can lock your keys in the car) and sometimes it will do it the other way (I think) and randomly unlock. Firstly, is this typical of smartlock? my mates EL seems to do it also, and secondly, can I stop it from doing it?

its supposed to relock after like 2 mins once you have unlocked it and opened and closed a door, or not started it. something like that.

A mates Fairmont will re-lock if you unlock the car with the remote but don't open the door within 5 or so minutes, I think you'll find it's a mid series BCM issue. And as a lot of people have experienced this, I'd very hesitantly say it's supposed to do it.

its definatly not supposed to unlock by itself, but as said above, if you unlock the car and dont open the door it is supposed to lock again within a couple of mins.

Yeah after 2 minutes it's meant to lock again. Mine sometimes does it if I only open one of the back doors, my door light switches are a bit dodgy so it doesn't think a door has been opened.
