Iv got a Ba mk2 xr6 turbo iv done the intake, injectors, tune and has a 4inch dumper into 3.5inch 2 muffler system xforce.
If i have the center muffler removed will i lose my back pressure or is the last muffler enuff to keep it? they are aftermark mufflers. And also im looking into a screamer pipe does anyone else have one on a xr6t cheers! |

but if you cut out all your mufflers you will need to fit a larger wastegate flapper to your turbo to have any hope of having reasonable boost control.

easy peasy man
6" round hole in bonnet 6" round pipe protuding 2 inches from bonnet lots of rags etc to clean fire and soot off windshield but in all seriousness, less mufflers = louder always, also bigger pipe = louder if you get finnicky about it, position and type of muffler as well. talk to your exhaust shop

Remove rear muffler, and it will be louder than removing center muffler; 1/2 the system is muffled rather than the whole system.
Most exhaust fabricators make an 'over diff / tail section' with straight pipe, as a no muffler option. |

I think the sound of spooking up turns more heads than a loud exhaust

oh lawd......
get some decent HP going first. Then all you need is 3 1/2 from dump--->back. Maybe a 4". Depends on engines needs of course. Bigger intercooler and piping... stainless/chrome whatever, make sure its metal. Screamer pipes do not belong on the street. Im not gonna say anymore. *facepalm* |

He already has a 4" dump which is plenty.. in fact not necessary. The 3.5" would be better for torque. Personally I'd leave both muffs in place, but the guy asked how to make it louder.
Agreed, screamer pipes are ridiculous, and sound sh!t anyway. |

Cut out one muffler or both and put an X-Force Varex variable muffler on it.

Not to mention screamers are illegal on the street.
I don't have a problem provided that you drive the car under your boost setting. Nothing worse than a dumb C*** in a VL pulling into the right lane next to you then giving it a boot full and you copping 130 odd dB straight into the right ear. |

There are plenty of downpipe/screamer pipe dividers on the market for internal gates Still screamers do your head in after a while and are pretty much pointless on the street! Play with your muffler setup until you get the desired sound, personally i think it would sound better without a screamer!
