Hi,

My ABS light has come on my EL XR6
It has only started since I have put new pads on and scimmed discs.
Also bled breaks.

It doesnt always come on at initial start up, some times takes a few mins to appear.
weird???

uh im not sure if this is correct but our abs light came on when the abs was acitvated, ie when we slammed the brakes at 120 the light came on, im assuming that meant it was engaged.
then again it coulda been anything.

just go for a drive on a deserted road with no cars around, get up to about 60-80 and test em nice and hard, if the abs aint working it will lock up and therefore uve screwed it!!!...under which case idd recommend taking it to a mechanic.

if your abs light stays on for more than a week, idd definately reccomend taking it to a mechanic.

ah yeah another idea, this may be irrelevant but in my dads car we had a similar problem with his economy light staying on (meaning he was using to much fuel) turns out when we put his dashboard in the plug was around the wrong way, if ona the sensors or a powerlead somewhere that you took out/played with was put in the wrong way it may also be causing problems such as the abs light.
check the power cable thats attached to the brake booster, it may well be causing the problem if it on the wrong way, although i dont think you can put it on the wrong way.

ok hope this helps!!!

check and make sure you didnt damage one of the tone wheels

The check ABS light comes on in my EB XR8 when i reach 80

One of my wheels nut burred over and we had to drill it out and pull the disc of to replace it, when the disc went back on the problem began
