Have you got any mods yet?
I'd be putting the power up before changing diff gears. I dont have much traction with 3.45's and a 6 speed. The diff gears depends on what gearbox you have. |

Anyone with a 4spd and 3.7's?? I'm in the same situation, BA 4spd Turbo, and pretty much only like 2nd gear.. to be pulling in third you're going to quick. I can't afford to get a 6spd auto/man, so am considering 3.7:1's. Trouble is there's still a grand's worth of parts and work. Also need SCT XCAL3 to fix the speedo, so because of that, I'm actually going to get power parts and tune first.. then I reckon 3.7's cuz it'll still be a dog off the line aye.. |

you are correct in saying that it can get slippery with 3:45s but i find 80-100 in 'D' is undesirable (4spd auto). CAI and Exhaust are my only mods. its not a new ute its almost at the 200x mark so i try to be more so gentle to it aswell, maybe i need to man up and throw more fuel down its guts

If the car feels laggy there might be something wrong with the wastegate operation.
It shouldnt feel that laggy. |

I think he's refering to how tall first gear has always been in the Falcon 4spd's. In the B series with 3.45's it still stretches out to 80 in first, add another 60 to that for 2nd..
