hello guys
just wanna know if anyone has used pioneer premier series components in their car
as i am looking at installing these in my ute but wanted to know if anyone has had any trouble with them or been dissapointed. The speakers themselves are 699 for 6" splits and the amp and sub around the 500 mark so really want to make sure im happy with my choice.

Normally when spending that much, people tend to go for the more "Premium" brands.

Focal, Hertz, Rainbow, Dynaudio, Boston etc.

I'm no expert, thats just what I have noticed. For example you may get Focal Splits for $500 that sound better than the $699 Pioneer items.

Hopefully one of our Audio Gurus will chime in, otherwise you can head over to http://www.mobileelectronics.com.au/ and see some better info.

Remember too that a quality install will also make a world of difference. Good sound deadening makes a huge difference to the performance of a system, and wiring etc needs to be up to scratch as well.

yeah i know what you mean about the premium brands, focal looked a goer aswell so i might have another look, thanks for you input mate.

Shop around, you can get some good deals if you decide to buy a lot. However don't go into the shop until you do some research by reading the forums that SLO247 posted.

I haven't heard the premium Pioneer stuff, but for that price, I would go with a brand with better reputation for sound quality.
