Hey guys
Im doing some work to my intake plemum atm mainly just sanding it and polish, i was wondering on the bottom half of the plemum there is 6 butterflies that open when on hard throttle to allow more air into the motor, now my feelings are is that they should be open all the time as i think more air is better. While i have them out i was wondering if its worth putting them back in or just leaving it so the car gets more air?? any thoughts please |

it's not to let more in.
long narrow runners premote good cylinder filling at lower RPM. short runner premote cylinder filling at higer RPM. the changer over point is about 3800rpm, it has nothing to do with throttle position. leave them in. |

Turbo models have butterflies removed---forced induction...
