provided they've been looked after and not thrashed too badly, they'll last forever

s**t, even some 302's that I've seen that have been thrashed just keep on going - not perfectly, but they still run.

Read the stats on Onyx black GTs, they are one of the lowest produced, I want one too.

It is just a pity XBs weren't produced before 1973, tyre rules are much more relaxed.

my opinion on an XB is given the thumbs up. Great cars, big strong tanks! The 302 and the 351 are definetly both strong motors and are well known for lastiing. As the car is 30 + years old it is hard to tell how many km's the engine and drive gear has actually done as the it could have well gone over the clock and back again. Fuel is all going to be dependant on how standard the motor is and for another matter how worn the mechanical side of the car is. if you are lookin for it to be an everyday driver and dont intend to spend to much on rebuilds then i would look around for a while and make sure you get something that is going to be reliable.
