just wondering how people have gone about the black "tape" on the doors between the windows of el fairmonts (etc.), if they've kept or removed, replaced or how they've gone about cleanly removing.
i would prefer to keep the look as it'll help blend once the windows are tinted but as i've replaced two doors, one side doesn't have it + the other side has peeled. anyone got a good idea on what i could replace it with? thanks, teeroy.

I reckon you could just spray it matt black.
Drop the windows down and pull the rubber seal around the window off. Then just peel the plastic s**t off, tape it up, sand it back a bit and give it a couple of coats of matt black and finish with some coats of a satin clear. Should look good. Cheers Sam

I thought someone had put it on there as I've never seen it before, if painting doesnt work out I'm sure u could buy a sheet of black sticker material from somewhere

On a Gemini I once owned we painted it black and clear coated it when we where re painting it.
If your looking to remove it cleanly eucalyptus oil is one of the best glue removers available
