I own an XG S ute and I have been considering a LPG injection conversion.
The installer I rang today say they use the a parnell system. Can anyone comment on them? I was quoted $4100 for the conversion. I was also interested in getting a sweep type fuel gauge. Is there such a thing available aftermarket? The ute has 200000km's and runs excellent. Head gasket was recently replaced and car has been generally maintained well. The bloke also mentioned that the injection system will match the petrol one for economy and power! That is what has me interested! If anyone has any suggestions or experiences, could you please comment! Thanks Martin |

Match for power very likly but economy no as LPG always consume's more than petrol, here is a calculator to give u an idea of pay back period and see if it's worth it.
ford-lpg-hydrogen-hho-cng-conversions-f44/poweredbycng-s-lpg-savings-calculator-t82211.html Personally the power difference with old mixer is 10% power loss which isent a big deal and save urself $1500.00 instead of going vapour injection

Thanks for your input!
I was really only interested in an injected gas system, as I dont want to sacrifice power as I travel up hills and mountains. Does a gas conversion affect valve/guide/seat life? |

Beyond the fuel delivery system, there's nothing special about gas injection that would affect your engine any differently from a mixer-based system.
