If you're talking about the front bearing retaining nut, then it's a 29mm nut. Needs to be tightened while you rotate the disc to 30Nm, then undo the nut half a turn and then tighten to 4Nm (I do this by feel...usually only hand tight without a T-bar or ratchet).

I did mine to 5nm yet everywhere i've read it says 1.5nm. 1.5nm the disk wobbled slightly when you pull on it outwards.

I think if it is anything more, the bearings will wear out faster and more road noise.

Yep did the 30nm, then finger tight. You believe I should a bit tighter?
How would I know if it should be tighter? Also should I leave the standard inner wheel dust covers on or off? Also what causes the suspension to sort of squeak down going over bumps? I saw the lower ball joint had a broken boot? Would this cause it? Can I replace the boot or would the ball joint be required to be replaced? |

Hold both sides of the disk and rock/shake it back and forth. It shouldn't have any play in it. i did 5nm on my car and there was no movement so i'd do that if you have a torque wrench.
My car squeaks over bumps because of the upper arm bushes so it might be that...
