Hi Guys have a BF XR8 wanted to do a small wiring mod so my fog lights come on when high beam is on and obviously extinguish when high beam off will also use a swithch so its legal and have to use a Diode so My high beams dont come on when fog lights are used.
pretty much just like having an extra set of spotties.

Im just chasing some wire coulors and maybe diagrams for fog light circut and high beam circut, should be able to just do it at the fuse / relay box in the engine bay. would be much easier if I had this info. Cheers.

I dont use my fog lights as it is not legal to use them if it is clear weather, But dosent say I cant use them as additional lights with my high beam as long as they are extinghushed when high beam is off. I normally drive my patrol at night So I enjoy flashing people who dont dip their lights with my 70w Hid spotties.

Dont want to point out the obvious but fog lights are for bad weather when you are generally travelling slower and really only effectively light up a few metres in front of the car. They are not going to add any useful light with your high beams and could actually reduce your distance vision as the extra light so close to the car will cause your pupils to contract.
'Driving' lights and 'fog' lights are very different for good reason.

The only cars ford have made, that I know of, that had 'driving' lights were the EL GT and the T3's.
Driving lights, according to ADR's can only operate when high beams are activated.

Fog lights are not just yellow, they have a different beam patteran, very wide and flat. Whereas a driving light has most of its beam focused a further down the road.

meh, i have 4 55watt HID 220xp roo lights HID lowbeams 130watt highs and 55watt "driving/fog" lights. from all the musters and bns' ive still never had a yellow sticker for it. i even have more wattage of reverse lights than most people have for high beams. i belive its more of a case of abuse it and loose it. Ford put em there, im gonna use them.

I find the BF fog lights are very usefull when used with high beam as they give you so much lights out the sides, increasing your chances of spotting a roo on the side of the road, realy handy with winding roads.
