When pot 1 is tdc, what way should the dizzy point?
Also, what's the ideal timing for a stock motor? Cheers |

Ideal timing - 0 deg on stock motor. You can adance it slightly and run premium to gain a small amount of power.

Hold on a tick. Efs had coil packs so base timing is controlled by the ecu. Sorry i thought you had a dizzy. And ideal timing is 10* before tdc as marked on els.

No no, it will be with the dizzy, everything off the original xg motor will go on the ef block, not changing anything

Oh okay.
Do a search for adjusting base timing. Its easy and only takes about 5 minutes to do each time. Only adjust in small increments ( .5 degree) and take it for a spin and see how it feels. Having a dyno would be ultimate for testing but thats probably out of the question. Does your motor have the little marker at 10 degrees btdc?
