Hey I was wondering wat gearbox can handle 300rwkw? because my stock t5 wont.

Depends how you drive it.
A well rebuilt t5 may hold up with 300 killer wasps in front of it, but start hammering it and the box will drop out. TKO 6000 T56 Two boxes that are tried and tested and will easily hold up when built correctly.

Agree with Sam. How you treat your car will depend on what box will suit your needs. That said a good condition T56 I hear can handle the power output in question.

If thats the case, fork out the bigger $$$ for the stronger box. That way you can punish the car with an element of confidence it will hold together.

The t56 youre probably looking at around $3-5k depending on condition and the tko i think are around the $5k mark as well.
The built t56 will hold up to abuse from what ive heard. Cheers Sam

The t56 is hydraulic im pretty sure. Dont know about the tko. Theres a bloke on here or maybe boostedfalcon thats running around the 350rwkw mark with a fully built c4. Apparently they are good boxes when built well. The problem with the t5s is the thickness and strength of the casing.

Iv got a c10/c4 in mine..it makes fine use of my 240rwkw.. It's rated and built to 800hp.. So should Handel what most eseries can throw at it.. IMO it's heaps better than a manual, doesn't go off boost, manualised anyway, and will Handel more power then most manuals worth twice as much.. I got it done at street and strip autos.. Give them a buzz for more info

I went for a manual box because I wanted an overdrive gear. If I didnt I would have put a turbo 400 or powerglide in.

3.5-4k if I remember correctly got me a drive in drive out with a 3500high stall, brand new box, modified tail shaft rebalanced,external cooler etc , basicly the lot needed.. Plus you will need to supply a shifter, they fit it and did all the wiring..
