I heated mine up slightly with a hair dryer, then peeled/scraped it off with my fingernail. It worked okay lol

Bet your EL's towed a few caravans in its day. Proper old mans classic there.

I went and seen the smash repairs joint here and the loaned me an eraser wheel...
Looks identical to this... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/MOULD-GLUE-REMOV ... 27b916ae0c I put it in a cordless drill... Lowest speed setting... and hold it down on an angle and just crank the drill over slowly and it'll take it straight off... Basically the wheel is like a rubber eraser for lead pencil... the rubber grabs the pin stripe and take it off... Its so handy I bought myself one... BE AWARE IF YOU GO TOO FAST WITH THE DRILL YOU CAN MELT THROUGH THE PAINT... ITS TIME CONSUMING BUT SLOW AND STEADY WINS THE RACE WITH THIS METHOD... Cheers, Tim
