I was looking through some youtube videos and found a video of an EL GT with twin exhausts, apparently he got a new fuel tank made up for it, but was extremely scarce on the details! i was wondering if anyone else here had tried this, and if so, how did it go? I am quite interested in putting this on my old girl!

There's a red EF wagon with twin exhausts on Youtube. But I think the leaf sprung wagon may have more room round the passenger side of the fuel tank.

Can be done if you don't have a tow bar but not sure on the legalities of it...since it runs close to the fuel tank.

Anyways, you can fit a T/Y piece just before the end of the bumper, one end going to the original exhaust end and the other diverted running along behind the rear bumper and coming out on the other end. Someone has done it before and it looks pretty damn good, however you will need to heat wrap the exhaust and most likely some heat deflection sheets on the fuel tank. The extended exhaust can be run through a 2" to make more room and have a 2.5" outlet or whatever tip you want...most of the exhaust gases will still come out of the original outlet though.

Another way is to go dedicated gas, remove the petrol tank and you have plenty of play under the boot or as extreme as a custom tank made up.
