When it changes gear from 1st it seems to grab momentum then drop then pick it up again. I actually started to think perhaps its like the old AU XR6 with the Power/ Ecom Switch but i just can't locate it Lol

TUF250 wrote: Thanks for the replys guys, any owners of the 6 speed manual version out there? I think that would be the one I was after if possible. cheers hey mate i just brought a new (2010) FG XR8 in 6 speed manual great box for sure, i like it better than the auto (which is also great) but i just like the manual better the only pros i could see on the auto was better in city traffic (lazy and no clutch leg work out) and you can tow more than the manual but thats it just like the manual better |

forget the xr6, is just an xt with a bodykit. get a g6e. 6 speed zf, and most of the xt options are standard.

The transmission is designed to drop off a little between gears under full load so it doesnt get overloaded with torque on the gearchange and burn out prematurely. A lot of the ZF transmissions do this.
