This was recently discussed w.r.t. an EF GLi.
See http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9087

I don't see that there would be any major differances between the EF and the EL but i could be proven wrong here.

In the case of my EF, i got the light along with wiper and indicator stalks so it was plug and play, no wiring needed. Just had to prise out the 'lamp holder' holder from the bottom steering shaft surround and push it into my surround.
Getting the surround back in proved to be a real pain... Now all i need is a mid series BEM and my variable intermittant wipers will work :)

Cheers.
