Hey guys I recently installed a Wade 1636 cam and a set of extractors into my EL XR6 and for some reason there is alot of engine noise.
Not from the exhaust but from the actual engine bay itself
Sounds like a lot of hissing and it gets louder as the revs rise.

Is this normal? after you get these mods done.

So far I have

2.5in catback
aftermarket extractors
Wade 1636 cam
AU injectors
K&N Panel filter

and now its running very rich

can anyone give me any reason as to why there is a lot of noise?

cheers

chain tensioner not installed correctly, the hissing is the chain over tensioned and chewing its way through the guides, I would suggest the either reset the tensioner or the chain will take care of the guides for you.

Did you seal the extractors to the head with a gasket?

agreed with krytox..but im gonna take a swing at this..it wouldnt be the pcv or w/e its called on the head not connected properly or the vacuum lines? only saying that cuz u said it was running rich..just thinkin basic stuff. check that little plastic thing on the head of ur motor i know somone who didnt have it on or something like that and it blew up his motor. Although he was a wanker and deserved it lol
