i bought a 2nd hand set of extractors yesterday, and just wondering what i use to clean the old glue off the surface and do i need to do anything else except use the gasket glue? i was thinking metholated spirits to clean both the extractors and the side of the engine where they join?

Did the aftermarket cat come with all the flanges to fit the extractors and cat back system? If not you need to get some welded on to connect everything together.

Here's a pic of my CAT. 2 & 1/2" in, twin 2 & 1/4" out. Thats a 600mm steel rule next to it for scale.
I use a Ford s/s gasket for the extractors, never had a failure.
