Hi my Ford Fair lane 97 when i drive nearly for 20 mins it has started kicking when hot only.i reckon its changing gear from 1st to 2nd hard(rough) and then 2nd to 3rd gear smoothly,i took to the mechanic he did top up the transmission oil.
but i am wondering if its Solonaide and i am not sure how much does it cost me? and i am not ever sure which solonaide it is s5 or s6 or s7?

Can anyone please guide me what should i do?i did transmission service 11,000 kms before.

Thanks

Almost definitely your S5 solenoid needs replacing. Take it to a transmission specialist, it will cost about $100 on top of a regular service.
