NEVER NEVER EVER use gasket goo on a bbm for top half to bottom half,

its practically GLUED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

Yeas well the only experience ive had with the stuff is buying cars that have it on there, and its a bastard so I dont use it when putting things back together

ended up using a jack between the plenum and the flange that goes to the head and pop got the bastard off lol

I used gasket maker a lot...Permatex stuff. Haven't had any issues with it on warm or hot areas.

Maybe you used wrong grade gasket maker?

Have you ever seen the Aviation Gasket Goo? It's easier to dismantle parts later as it doesn't harden. :D

Yep I used Loctite No. 3 which is a non-hardening aviation gasket compound for the top-bottom halves of the BBM.

Yeah thats what I use, Permatex #3? non hardening jointing goo. Comes apart easy and is easily removed.
