Hi All,
This is my first time so please excuse me Im sure this has been discussed and discussed but I currently drive a 2001 AU2 XR8 ute which has covered 160klm's when i got her and now has travelled 210klms...and have been having trouble with freeze up on LPG and I am experiencing MASSIVE difference btw LPG economy and P/Unld economy....... 80% of these klms diff (50k's) has been mainly driving Syd-Melb and back, and when cruising on fuel I cannot believe i can and have a few times 800+ klms on 1 FULL tank of premium. It is awesome the economy whilst cruising, but the same driving on LPG Im lucky to achieve 350 at best once but realistically 280klm range usually. The car has been faultless and although she has been used by the previous owner, it is a good honest car and never missed a beat. i look after her as good as my C63, all my stuff, but today it froze up and broke down within 200 meters of starting and taking off, this has NEVER happened before. Im having an LPG specialist come look at it tomorrow. Can anyone please let me know also why is there such a difference in economy in this car or is this pretty standard in the extremes, around town i get 400klms out of fuel maybe 450, but cruising she is the best can anyone adivse a solution or what we will find?, also is the 5.0 engine good for s/charging and has anyone done this and if so how is she?... Thanks again for your responses, and feedback which will be welcomed.... |

How many litres of fuel are we talking about.
You need to be able to say "I can 280km on XX Litres of LPG" With out giving the actual usage you won't get useful replies. Converter freeze is due to lack of coolant in the converter. Before anything the coolant issue needs to be fixed. |
