If you can't find the factory shims, you can use 10mm OD 316 stainless washers. They are about 0.9mm thick, and cost $5 for a handful. I put them in my EF XR6 two or three years ago when I had the cam reground, and have had no problems. But get the stainless ones, as they are harder than mild steel.
