Hey there i was always iffy butty about cleaning my engine..
What is the best way and safest way to clean a BA Motor. . without making any problems with any electrical components?

Im in the same boat, the EBII came from out west, theres dust & crap everywhere, ive been reluctant to clean my engine/bay also.

with the BAs, the black plastic cover on the rocker cover. dont aim there, otherwise your all good. just dont freak out with the water cooking off the motor after thou

i clened my eds engine bay, i just made sure not to drench the dizzy or the intake with water, i even covered my intake cause its a pod filter. if it doesnt crank over strait afte leave it for 20 to let it dry a bit, it would just be water on the dizzy.

I used cheapo car polish (REPO cut and wax) to clean the walls, gets rid of the dirt and shines it and put a plastic bag over the dissy.
  Not exactly the same car but its not complicated just cover the coil packs and she'll be right.

BA's dont have dissys mate, but yeah as said, just make sure to avoid the black plastic cover on the rocker cover, and the ECU and also try to avoid spraying too much water on any of the wiring (a bit is probably ok though) Gab |
