hi guys,
all went well with the conversion. still running auto ecu (but in contact with a guy off the forums about getting it flashed to a manual one as the ecu i recieved was an S1 WAAC catchcode).
so i have a few questions with my last issues.

clutch is QUITE hard... is this normal? (even though i replaced the clutch cable and bushes, and the clutch & flywheel i got were in quite good nick, also new throwout bearing)

also

will i have to change anything to do with the wiring? i had the clutch switch for cruise set up, i bridged the inhibitor for starting, and used the existing spade connectors from the auto for the reverse lights.
anything i'm missing if it is to be flashed to a manual ecu?
(what does flashing it to a manual actually do?)

thanks guys!

If you replaced the cable & the bush isn't torn through the firewall you should take one teaspoon of concrete after dinner and harden up :P pressure plates & clutches get lighter when worn

you shouldn't need it flashed if you've done everything you should.

haha just was a real wakeup call comparing the clutch to a few mates cars, i get into theirs and my foot drops straight to the floor :P
i do find occasionally idle will hang at ~11-1200rpm and occasionally come close to stalling... so theres no real benefit in flashing the ECU? i'd rather keep some $$ in my pocket...

I know I nearly punch a hole through the firewall in anything else when I drive it. I love the idea of the hydraulic clutch but I hate the feel of them. guess i've had too many falcons lol

i don't think theres a need to flash, mine hangs every now and then when it's cold but it's been nearly 10,000k's since my conversion and it's only surfaced recently with an intermittant miss so leads me to believe it's got nothing to do with the conversion.

I also had a factory 5 speed ea that developed a hunt, then a miss then spat a tfi. i don't blame the hunt on the computer!
