anyone know where and wat kind of manual gearbox would fit in a au or where i could find a engine and transmisson set up from and roughly how much thnx

a AU manual gearbox :).
and just get a AU donor car that has a manual box for the conversion.

well ive only ever converted a xf falcon to a manual and it was a bit of fudging around. bit o fun too.
more like a journey of graized knuckles and extream swearing. :lol:

Do a search, there is a step by step guide on here. I think the author is voxace.

It is for E series but essentially the same.

ea-au manuals are the same right?
i did an au engine conversion on my ef and the manual bolted straight on

AU gearbox is longer towards the rear including the shifter, but can 'massage' the factory shifter hole to make them fit in an eseries - dont know what other differences there are though.
would need to use an AU box in an AU.
