Hey guys.
just recently bought a ED with a stuffed motor and gearbox.
Im putting a BF motor in it with a T5 with au belhousing so all bolts will line up.
What i want to know is would it be much of a problem to get a roadworthy on it or would it be hard for it to pass engineers cert.

The only part of the car that will be modified is the k frame by cutting it and welding back in place a few mill forward to clear the sump.
It will be running on the standard ecu eg, motor will run off bf ecu, rest of the car will be run from the ed ecu.

Any help will be appreciated,

Theres a few build threads on here with pictures and info that can give you some good ideas on what is involved,

As far as engineering goes you need to call around and potential people who can sign off on it and talk to them. This is something that you need to get from the horses mouth as doing anything before hand will only end in more $$$ when no one is willing to sign off. Some might require the welding done by a professional on the K frame/some might be more opposed to modifying it. It is worth calling a few though as some will be easier to deal with.

From an engineering point of view moving it even a little can make a difference to overall effect upon rest of the car which will be at forefront of mind of someone signing off.

Seriously do people google "f**k up modifications for Fords owned by Jews" and get linked straight to this site nowadays?

AU,factory fitted tickford kit/IRS, t5,Sports ryder/KYB: gone.
