Hey there i really have a limited knowledge of cars and electrics but i decided to buy an xr6 second hand and really wanna make it my own i guess. The sound system on the inside is pretty average and i just want a better quality sound without having to spend millions.

I want to replace all the 5x7's in the car with something around the 250 mark for a replacement of all so thats like 70 per speaker. I have no idea what a 2-way or a 3-way speaker is and i really dont want speakers with any splitters because i cant be bothered cutting into my car and adding a bunch of tweeters left, right and centre. Id really like to keep the current Head Unit cause i would like the steering controls to work so my next question would be do i need a separate amp to power the speakers on the inside of the car?

Also like every other kid on the planet with his P's i want a sub + amp in my boot. no idea of good brands or what RMS wattage i should be looking at for the amp. im not lookin to blow my windows off or shred everything that i put in my boot but im looking for a little bit of an omph!

any help would be tops guys! brands, watts, configuration, setups whatever you guys think/have done yourself
