Engine swap, will I need any different parts, ECU, etc, engines are same series, will ute manifold, extractors etc, fit up to xr6 motor if I use all the parts from original engine??? Thanks everyone.

Engines are the same, all accessory's fit.

Original non XR6 ecu will work fine, however the Tickford one will take full advantage of the cam if used.

The differences are Head, Valves, Cam, Fuel Pressure, Auto shift pattern (if auto) diff ratio and exhaust.

There will be little difference in performance in stock form, just use the healthiest motor.

If your ute has the Log Intake Manifold, then use your exisiting ECU.

Alternatively replace the Log Manifold with the dual runner type (BBM) and add thermo fans then use the XR6 ECU, then you WILL notice a difference.
