I'm new to the site so go easy on me.
Anyway, im asking about how to get my original BEM or smartlock to work again. I tried to reinstall it like i did with the other one but the smartlock light didn't flash at all. Everything else works, the car also started without having to wait at all. Even when the car was off the smartlock light didn't flash. So how do I get it all working again?
I'm guessing there are alot of questions like this going around but I did a search and couldn't find what i wanted.
Any help would be great!

So let me get this right...

Your car's original BEM was removed.
You've been using a second one..

Now you want to put in the original?

Then there's Nothing you need to do, the BEM is already locked onto the cars ignition barrel.
and most likely the original remote fobs.

If it turns the car on, its working fine.

why did you change it in the first place?? and why do you want to change it back?

Better explain it a bit more.

I have been using a high series (green) BEM from an NL Fairlane in my EL fairmont ghia.

I changed it because the electric aerial was not working.

I want to put the original BEM back in because i found and fixed the aerial problem, and because the NL BEM has messed up the climate control (so the local mechanic tells me) and is cooling at 32 degrees!

The Smartlock globe is fine because it works with the NL bem but not the EL bem.
