Mate, who are you trying to convince here?
For what you will spend trying to get a bandaid solution to work you, you may as well just buy the J3 setup and be done with it. Even if it does cost you a little more now, it will save you in not wasting fuel and not blowing up engines. |

Yes it works fine for low boost when people can't afford bigger injectors and dyno time for a j3 tune. People have been doing it for years. What your saying is much like asking do you think its a good idea to put over twice the power through a stock motor, probably not but everyones doing it with good results. The best way is as everyones already said, bigger injectors along with dyno tuned j3 or standalone ems. $300 will get you a set of 42lbs these days. |

But you make money selling the stuff......................................." Good results = standard motors making twice + the stock power and still being reliable. Like any engine the more you push on it the more it will wear, basic stuff. Sure we make money selling turbo kits, i wouldnt say its shortening engine life by short cutting, at the end of the day if afrs are good, spark is anti-ping, and egts are in check it will last a long life ............................. |

You wouldn't say it because you sell the stuff. its as simple as that.
It's a bandaid for small budget and the results, no mater what you tell your self or others, is always less then it should be. In the end there are more people with bad results doing it your way then there are with with people who do it right. The difference in some cases may only be that the bandaid causes excessive fuel usage, the owner will never know as he thinks it normal. Yet if he'd done it right the saving in fuel would pay the extra costs in no time. Good results isn't just about a peak power figure and an AFR reading from a dyno run. Your probably one of those people who thinks the right ignition timing is just before it pings, aren't you. Which is why you tell people to cram in huge fuel pressures and if it doesn't ping they'll be fine. |
